Tungsten is a metal that belongs to the heavy metals. It has the highest boiling and melting point of all pure metals. The largest deposits of this metal are located in China, Korea, Kazakhstan, Russia, Bolivia, Portugal, the USA, and Austria. In Germany the metal is found in the Erzgebirge.
